Wedded bliss at the new look great hall

Wedded bliss at Redworth Hall Hotel's new look Great Hall

Dating back to the 17th Century, the striking property can be found in County Durham surrounded by peaceful grounds, yet a short distance from the buzz of the nearby city centre.

Owned by premium hotel group, Cairn Group, the historic hall has been sympathetically renovated to restore its former glory and enhance its offering as a stunning weddings and events space.

Elegant changes include refreshed décor from floor to ceiling with decorative wall panels and traditional wallpaper together with luxurious feature curtains lit by beautiful crystal and gilt chandeliers. The original oak floor has been fully restored and the huge stone fireplaces cleaned to create a beautiful focal point.

The romantic room is a fantastic setting for nuptials in particular as the Great Hall can host 110 guests during the ceremony and wedding breakfast, and up to 150 guests as part of the evening celebrations.

Brides-to-be can be inspired and explore the venue with a glass of fizz in hand, at an upcoming open evening on Thursday 03 August. The hotel’s team of wedding coordinators will be on hand on the day to give tours and answer any questions about the packages available, and a variety of local suppliers will be showcasing their services.

For couples looking for a last minute venue for a summer 2017 wedding, there is limited availability to be amongst the first to tie the knot in the impressive new-look venue.

Redworth Hall Hotel is a 143-bedroom property, meaning wedding parties can enjoy an overnight stay as part of the special day.

Meanwhile the hotel’s picturesque setting within 26 acres of enchanting woodlands and gardens provides the perfect backdrop for wedding photographs to make lasting memories.

Spa facilities are also available to relax before the big event as well as a British-European eatery – 1744 Restaurant.

Other events including birthday and anniversary celebrations can be hosted in the Great Hall, as well as charity functions and corporate affairs.
