mia welcomes 7 Cairn Collection Hotels
The Meetings Industry Association (mia), one of the fastest growing associations in the conference, meetings and events sector, has welcomed Cairn Hotel Group as a new member with 7 of the 17 hotels added comprising part of The Cairn Collection.
Among those selected to join the mia are:
The Royal Station Hotel, Newcastle
The Stirling Highland Hotel, Stirling
Redworth Hall Hotel, County Durham
Stoke Place, Buckinghamshire
The Majestic Hotel, Harrogate
The Old Ship, Brighton
The Angel Hotel, Cardiff
Membership will allow our hotels to take advantage of a number of membership benefits including increased sales opportunities, extensive industry networking opportunities, preferential rates for training and professional development events, access to data and industry insight from powerful benchmarking tools and greater commercial insight to build bolder and more lucrative pricing strategies.
As part of their membership, the hotels have also achieved AIM accreditation, the nationally recognised standard for venues and service providers in the meetings, conferences and events industry, with 50 strict criteria which must be met to achieve accreditation.
Tina O’Hara, Group Director of Sales, Cairn Group said: “We are delighted to become mia members. Since joining, we have achieved AIM accreditation for 17 of our properties, a recognition of our efforts and investment into meetings and events, and a demonstration of the high level of service that we provide to events professionals.
This accreditation, coupled with our mia membership, will enable us to network effectively within the industry, to peers and senior decision makers alike. It also provides our customers and industry partners with assurance of best practice, quality of facilities, legal compliance and service standards.”
